A useful cost estimate separates subscription charges, one-time work and the value assigned to staff time. It should not assume that a product will deliver an advertised reduction in hiring effort.

Use the hiring cost worksheet with your own inputs. Its difference between scenarios is arithmetic under those assumptions, not a forecast.

Write down what the estimate includes

Agree the time period, currency, expected hiring activity and the staff time you want to value. Use the same assumptions when comparing vendors.

  • Software subscription and relevant usage charges.
  • Implementation, migration and training work.
  • Time spent preparing roles, reviewing applications and coordinating feedback.
  • Provider, integration or external-service charges where applicable.

Compare a baseline and a proposed scenario

For an annual example, baseline labor value is hires per year multiplied by hours per hire and hourly cost. The proposed scenario uses the assumed hours after the change and adds twelve months of software charges and one-time implementation costs.

If you assume less time per hire, the worksheet will show the value of that assumption. Verify the time difference in a representative pilot before treating it as an expected benefit.

Keep uncertain inputs visible

Use a low, central and high scenario when the time or usage assumptions are uncertain. Include training and coordination time rather than assuming the team becomes productive immediately.

  • Confirm whether each price is recurring, usage-based or one-time.
  • Ask how AI credits, active jobs, users and integrations affect the quote.
  • Identify costs that the worksheet excludes.
  • Record the source and date for each commercial input.

HireHint's public pricing page invites a conversation about the required recruiting and HR workflows. Confirm the current written terms for your team, including usage allowances and supported connections.

The worksheet works without entering candidate data or sending figures to HireHint. Changing the currency changes the display label; it does not convert amounts.
